The Hydraulic Safety Authority of Canada is seeking an individual who will enhance effectiveness by providing information, management support and representing the executive to others.
Job Requirements:
Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying and transmitting text, data and graphics.
Conserve executive's time by reading, researching and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analysing information; initiating telecommunications.
Maintain executive's appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences and travel.
Represents the executive by attending meetings in the executive's absence; speaking for the executive at conferences & trade shows.
Support the Vice President in determining the corporate direction on the management of contractual clients, and strategic market directives.
Maintains customer confidence and an effective liaison.
Prepare reports and coordinates projects by collecting and analyzing information.
Secures information by completing database backups.
Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems; recording meeting discussions.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and trade shows; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed and the ability to perform with minimal supervision.
Skills/Qualifications:
Administrative Writing Skills, Reporting Skills, Management/Leadership Skills, Scheduling, Microsoft Office Skills, Organization, Time Management, Presentation Skills, Travel Logistics, Verbal Communication, Ability to travel 1-2 weeks per month, CSSE, CRSP, or CHSC equivalent Health & Safety Certification an asset but not required.

Safety Trainer/Consultant
The Hydraulic Safety Authority of Canada is seeking individuals who excel in a fast paced, dynamic environment with the ability to adapt professionally to change. Individuals must be assertive and resilient with excellent communication, team working and interpersonal skills for consulting and training.
Job Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of hydraulic service repair experience or equivalent engineering experience
Minimum OSSD required
Knowledge of occupational health & safety
Current knowledge associated with safety standards by ISO, EN, CSA and SAE are an asset
Continual professional development will be required as health & safety regulations can be complicated and subject to frequent amendment
Capable of acquiring and retaining information for procedure writing, reports and recommendations
Facilitating programs and strategies to reduce workplace injuries
Performing workplace inspections
Full driving license required
Valid Canadian passport (travel required)
