PRIVACY POLICY

The Hydraulic Safety Authority of Canada Inc. (HSAC), takes the issue of safeguarding privacy with respect and are committed to protecting the confidentiality and security of personal information entrusted to us. Ensuring that all personal information retained is collected, used and disclosed in compliance with all applicable federal and provincial privacy laws.

PURPOSE – HSAC may collect, use and disclose your personal information and only as much as reasonable to provide you the following; Verify your identity and to prevent fraud, process your payment or invoice, provide you with a product or service that HSAC offers, register you in a course, provide the instructor and/or participants in a class or event with a list of attendees, provide you or re-provide you with an HSAC certificate and wallet card for a course, provide you with materials as it relates to HSAC’s business, verify certification in accordance with HSAC authorized certificate search policies, provide you with safety bulletins and newsletters.

Your receipt of this Privacy Policy, unless you advise HSAC in writing, that you do not agree with the terms stated in this Policy, and that you wish to opt out of all or portions of it.
Your express written or verbal consent as obtained through any HSAC application process. Personal information may be collected regularly on an ongoing bases through telephone, email, postal mail, registration forms, and automatic logging files. The following information is mandatory: Name, Phone Number, Address, Postal Code. This is to ensure the security of your credit card information and protect you against fraud.
Your consent as provided by you or your authorized employer when registering for any HSAC course or event or one of our authorized training providers.
Your purchase or use of products and services as a client, user or participant, may constitute implied consent for HSAC to collect, use and disclose personal information for the identified purpose.
You may withdraw your consent at any time upon reasonable notice in writing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawing your consent may affect your ability to receive information and services.
Individuals have right access to their personal information that is reasonably available in the ordinary course of business. Upon written specific request, individuals may access or correct their personal information as entered in our records. We will respond to an individual’s request, and advise the individual in advance of any charges for retrieval, reproduction or delivery of the personal information requested.
